Who Is Music Kite For?

Music Kite is for everyone who takes part in live music and live culture.

That includes the people looking for something to do, the Artists creating the experience, the Venues and Festivals hosting it, and the Vendors that help bring it to life.

Each type of account has its own purpose and tools, while remaining connected to the same wider network.

Fans

A Fan account is the starting point for discovering and following live music on Music Kite.

Fans can explore published Artists, Venues, Festivals, Vendors and Scheduled Items. They can follow the profiles they care about and save upcoming experiences to My Schedule.

A Fan account remains private. Music Kite does not turn ordinary fans into public profiles simply because they create an account.

Fan Plus adds optional social and collection features for eligible adult members, including Gig Buddies, Festival Friends, private discovery, collected cards and enhanced participation features.

Fans can also use their private Music Kite Pass through Connect at participating experiences.

Artists

Music Kite supports a wide range of Artists, including solo performers, bands, duos, DJs, producers and creative collectives.

• An Artist profile can bring together:

• - public identity and biography

• - images and featured media

• - music and social links

• - upcoming Gigs and appearances

• - past performance history

• - booking or contact options

• - related Artists and members

• - opportunities and professional availability

Artist Plus expands the profile and professional tools. It can include unlimited publishing, additional media, booking enquiries, analytics, Live Hubs, collaboration and opportunity features, and the ability to manage multiple eligible Artist entities within the account allowance.

Artists can also use Connect to recognise participation, issue eligible benefits and build stronger relationships with supporters.

Venues

Music Kite is for independent music Venues, hospitality businesses, cultural spaces, community locations, outdoor spaces and other places that host live experiences.

A Venue profile can show what the Venue is, where it is, what facilities it offers and what is coming up.

Venues can publish Scheduled Items and organise activity across reusable Venue Areas such as:

• - Bar

• - Balcony

• - Garden

• - Studio

• - Workshop Room

• - Green Room

Venue Plus adds expanded publishing, recurring events, featured content, Live Hubs, booking and contact tools, analytics and advanced Connect capabilities.

Venue Areas can also be used with checkpoints, access rules, capacity controls and wayfinding, helping visitors understand exactly where an experience is taking place.

Festivals

Music Kite separates a Festival Brand from its individual Festival Editions.

The Brand represents the continuing Festival identity. An Edition represents a particular year or occurrence, with its own dates, location, Programme and visitor experience.

A Festival Edition can bring together:

• - Artists and other participants

• - Stages

• - Zones and Areas

• - Facilities

• - Vendors

• - Sponsors and partners

• - maps and practical information

Festival Plus includes Festival Explorer, allowing organisers to create a connected digital guide for visitors.

An Edition can support more than one Explorer Site, making it suitable for Festivals spread across multiple locations, town-centre venues, after-parties or separate activity areas.

Festivals can also use Connect for checkpoints, visitor access, participation, benefits, Vendor redemption and on-the-day operations.

Vendors

Vendors are first-class Music Kite entities.

They can include food and drink traders, mobile bars, merchandise sellers, market stalls, beauty and wellbeing services, tattooists, hair braiders, community organisations, entertainment providers and many other independent businesses.

A Vendor profile can show:

• - what the business offers

• - its Vendor type

• - location or service area

• - public contact and ordering links

• - products, menus or services

• - upcoming Scheduled Items

• - Venue and Festival appearances

• - public enquiries

• - media and social links

Vendor Plus adds enhanced profile features, analytics, expanded publishing, Live Hubs, opportunities and advanced Connect participation.

Vendors can use Connect to operate loyalty programmes, redeem offers issued by other participating entities and reward returning customers.

Community Partners

Community Partners help grow the Music Kite network through trusted introductions.

A Community Partner remains a normal Music Kite user but receives an approved additional role.

They can refer Fans, Artists, Venues, Festivals and Vendors to Music Kite, track the progress of eligible referrals and receive recognition or commission under the applicable programme rules.

Community Partners do not receive access to private customer information simply because they introduced somebody.

Staff, managers and collaborators

Music Kite also supports people who help manage an entity without owning it outright.

Depending on the entity and role, an authorised person may be invited as an owner, manager, editor, organiser, staff member or scanner.

Permissions are role-specific.

Someone authorised to scan a Connect Pass does not automatically receive access to billing or profile editing. A profile editor does not automatically become an owner. A Festival organiser does not automatically gain control of an independent Vendor or Venue.

This keeps collaboration practical while protecting each account and entity.

A platform for the whole ecosystem

Music Kite is not built only for major Festivals, established Artists or large Venues.

It is designed to be useful to grassroots and independent live music:

• - the Artist playing their first local shows

• - the Venue running weekly events

• - the Festival bringing several locations together

• - the Vendor building relationships across events

• - the fan looking for something happening nearby

• - the community member introducing people to the network

Everyone has a different role, but each contributes to the same connected live-music community.
