The Lathums are an indie rock band formed in Wigan in April 2018, out of a music project at a stage school called The Music Project. The line-up is Alex Moore on lead vocals and guitar, Scott Concepcion on guitar, piano and backing vocals, Matty Murphy on bass and backing vocals and Ryan Durrans on drums. Their debut album How Beautiful Life Can Be went straight to number one in the UK in 2021, From Nothing to a Little Bit More repeated that in 2023, and Matter Does Not Define reached number three in 2025. They release through Modern Sky and Island Records.
