Sasha Keable, born 27 February 1994, is a British singer and songwriter of Colombian descent, born to a British father and a Colombian mother and raised in Eltham in south London. She grew up in a musically diverse household taking in heavy metal, R&B and hip-hop alongside traditional cumbia and Queen, and counts Donny Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Lauryn Hill among her influences. She graduated from the BRIT School and signed to Disturbing London, the label founded by Tinie Tempah, releasing her debut EP Black Book in 2013. That year she played Wireless Festival, wrote and featured on DJ Zinc's Only for Tonight, and co-wrote and featured on Disclosure's Voices while touring with them; in 2014 she supported Katy B on her UK tour. Her NPR Tiny Desk performance went viral, and Beyonce has named her among the artists she has been listening to.
