Bella Barbe is a singer, songwriter and producer from north London who grew up between Enfield and Barnet, her mother a working-class Southgate girl and her father an underground UK MC. She was raised on Led Zeppelin, Prince, Portishead, Wu-Tang Clan, London Grammar and Grace Jones. At sixteen she performed on a jazz club stage, and when the organisers realised she was underage they put her in touch with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in Woolwich. Her debut single Lonely Soldier introduced her as a writer with emotional depth and a distinctive voice, and her debut mixtape Bird of Prey, a soulful and alternative record exploring resilience and self-discovery, followed in December 2025.
