Achilles Heel are a neo-soul band based in south west London who met at university in Cornwall and started out in Falmouth. The songwriter and front woman is Caitlin Pinkess, whose stirring vocals carry raw, honest lyrics, with Harry Sargent on keys, Lucia Sorell on bass and Max Kibble on drums, blending dynamic rhythms with jazz-influenced harmonies. They have released four singles - Open up the Gates, Achilles Heel, No Faith, which was BBC Introducing South West's track of the week, and Beautiful & Naive - played The Ned and The Bedford, sold out a headline show at the London Jazz Festival, and are working on a debut album.
